Privacy Policy

Patti's Pastries ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website pattispastries.net. This policy explains what the site collects, what we do with it, who else handles it, and how to ask us what we hold about you or to delete it. The short version: the site collects what you type into its forms and basic visit statistics through Google Analytics, and we do not sell your information.

What Our Forms Collect

The site has three forms, and each one sends us a message:

• The form on our Contact page asks for your name, email address and message.
• The short form at the bottom of every page asks for your name, email address and message.
• The cupcake truck request form on our Events page asks for your name, email address, phone number, the date and type of your event, and anything else you want to tell us.

Each form has spam protection: a hidden field that people never see but automated bots tend to fill in, and automated filtering that screens messages before they reach us. Sending a form does not sign you up for a newsletter or a mailing list.

How Your Message Is Delivered

When you send a form, a transactional email service delivers it to our business inbox, which is hosted by Google. The same service sends you a short confirmation email so you know we got it. These companies handle your message only to deliver and store it for us.

Information Any Website Receives

Like any website, this one receives the technical details a web server sees when your browser asks for a page: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time of the request. Our hosting provider uses them to deliver pages, keep the site secure and fix problems.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded with the Google tag from Google Tag Manager's servers, to see how visitors use the site. It sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, how long you stay, your device and browser type, your general location by city, and how you reached the site. It also records when someone taps our phone number or email address, starts the contact form, or sends one of the forms. It does not receive what you type into a form.

Google processes this data under its own terms. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser. This site does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies by name.

Other Services the Site Loads

• Fonts: the site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Video: the home page shows a preview image from YouTube. The video itself loads from YouTube only when you press play, and YouTube may then set its own cookies.
• Links: the site links to our Facebook, Instagram and Yelp pages and to Google Maps. Those companies run their own sites under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

How We Use Your Information

• To answer your message or request, by email or by phone
• To plan and confirm truck visits, catering and orders you ask us about
• To see which pages people use, so we can improve the site
• To keep the site and its forms working and free of spam

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. This site runs no advertising tags. We share information only with the services that make the site and its forms work (our hosting provider, the email delivery service, and Google for our inbox, Analytics and fonts) and when the law requires it.

How Long We Keep It

Messages stay in our inbox for as long as they are useful for answering you, following up, and keeping ordinary business records such as an order or an event booking. If you ask us to delete your message, we will, except for records the law requires us to keep. Google keeps Analytics data for the period set in our Google Analytics account.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information you provide to us. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Privacy Rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We honor these requests from anyone who asks, wherever you live, and we will not treat you differently for making one. These include the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

How to Make a Request

Email patti@pattispastries.net, ideally from the address you used on the form, or call (724) 770-0745, and tell us what you would like. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm a detail before we act. We will let you know when your request has been handled.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
