The Patti's Pastries pink cupcake truck serving the crowd at Picklesburgh in Downtown Pittsburgh

Gourmet Cupcakes in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

Downtown is where the pink cupcake truck gets its biggest crowds. Patti's Pastries has parked at Picklesburgh on the Roberto Clemente Bridge, worked the North Shore crowds the one time the NFL Draft came to Pittsburgh in April 2026, and handed cupcakes across the counter to office workers on their lunch break for years. If you have seen a bright pink trailer in the Golden Triangle, that was us.

Every cupcake we sell Downtown was made by hand by our family the same way we have done it for over 40 years. No machines, no mass production, no walk-in storefront. The truck is the bakery, and it comes to you.

Where the truck has been in Downtown Pittsburgh

Our 2026 calendar put the truck in the middle of two of the biggest events the city has ever hosted. One comes back every July. The other was a once-only week for Pittsburgh. Both are the kind of crowd we are built for.

Picklesburgh, July 16 to 19, 2026

Four days on the bridge with the giant pickle balloon overhead. Our Chocolate Covered Sweet Pickle cupcake was made for exactly this crowd, and it sold out more than once.

The 2026 NFL Draft, April 23 to 25, 2026 (a one-time event)

The Draft came to Pittsburgh once, and we were there for all three days of it with concessions while it took over the North Shore and Point State Park. It is not an annual stop and it will not be back, but hundreds of thousands of fans came through Downtown that week and a lot of them left with a Brownie Batter cupcake.

Office and lunch-hour catering in the Golden Triangle

Downtown Pittsburgh is packed with offices, law firms, hospitals, hotels, and the Cultural District, and all of them throw parties. We bring boxed cupcake orders to the lobby, set up a dessert table in the conference room, or park the truck on the street outside the building so the whole floor can come down for a treat.

For a Grant Street law firm, a PPG Place tower, a Market Square restaurant group, or a Strip District startup, the easiest version is a dozen or ten dozen of our best sellers delivered before the meeting starts. Brownie Batter, Salted Caramel Pretzel, Cookie Dough, and Red Velvet are the four that disappear first at corporate events.

If you want a custom touch, we do logo toppers and company colors on the frosting. Give us 4 to 6 weeks of notice for anything bigger than a few dozen and we will have it ready.

The Downtown calendar beyond the two big ones

Picklesburgh gets the headlines (the Draft did too, the one year it came), but Downtown Pittsburgh runs events most weeks of the year, and a lot of them want a dessert truck. The Three Rivers Arts Festival at Point State Park in June, the Fourth of July on the North Shore, Light Up Night in the Cultural District in November, the Pittsburgh Marathon weekend, Steelers and Pirates game days, and the holiday market in Market Square all draw the kind of foot traffic the truck is built for.

We also work private Downtown events: a rooftop party at a Grant Street firm, a lobby reception at a Fifth Avenue hotel, a tenant appreciation day at a PPG Place tower, or a convention hospitality suite at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. For these the host covers the cupcakes and guests eat free from the window, which turns a dessert line into part of the entertainment.

If your Downtown event has a date, call (724) 770-0745 and we will tell you whether the truck or a delivery makes more sense for the space.

Why Downtown crowds line up for Patti's

Made by hand, every one

Our family bakes every cupcake. Nothing we sell Downtown came off a conveyor belt or out of a freezer.

Built for big crowds

Picklesburgh is one of the largest events in Pennsylvania, and the one-time 2026 Draft was bigger still. The truck is set up to serve fast without cutting corners on the product.

Nine best sellers, always stocked

Brownie Batter, Burnt Almond, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cookie Dough, HoHo, Red Velvet, Salted Caramel Pretzel, Triple Chocolate, and White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle.

Gluten friendly on the menu

We keep gluten friendly cupcakes on the truck so nobody at your office or festival gets left out.

Getting the truck to a Downtown event

Downtown events mean permits, tight loading zones, and one-way streets. We have worked the city's festival logistics enough times to know what the organizers need from a food vendor, and we show up with the paperwork, the power plan, and the setup sorted out.

If you are organizing a Downtown street festival, a lunchtime pop-up near Market Square, an employee appreciation day, or a tailgate on the North Shore, call us at (724) 770-0745 or use the booking form on our events page. Tell us the date, the location, and roughly how many people, and we will tell you what the truck can do.

Downtown Pittsburgh spots we deliver to most

Boxed deliveries and dessert table setups go to these parts of Downtown every month:

  • Grant Street, the courthouse corridor, and the law firms around it.
  • Market Square, Fifth Avenue, and the Cultural District theaters and offices.
  • PPG Place, Gateway Center, and the towers along Liberty Avenue.
  • The Strip District, from Smallman Street warehouses to the new tech offices.
  • The North Shore, including the stadiums and the office park beside them.
  • Station Square and the South Shore hotels across the Monongahela.
