“WHERE IT ALL STARTED”
~The Patti Schvabenitz Story~
I owe all of my success to my family, first and foremost to my parents. Ever since I was a small child I always enjoyed the art of baking. My parents helped fuel my passion by buying me my first oven, “The Kenner Easy Bake Oven," my father was my best critic.
Many years later I married, shortly after my husband Daniel and I had our first child, Nicole. Soon after having our first child Daniel got laid off from his employer “J&L Steel” so at that point I put my love for baking to work for our family on a part time basis baking cookies. My husband lovingly handed me his unemployment check so I could purchase cake pans. It were those pans and a small level that helped me to build a successful wedding cake and cookie business. Those same pans and level share my work space today!
Because of the economy many women had to return to the work force leaving little time to bake cookies. The economy provided me with an opportunity to build a successful business, provide financial support to my husband and gave me the opportunity to stay home and raise our two children Nicole and Nicholas.
After 15 years of operating a home based business with the support of my husband and daughter Nicole, we opened “Patti’s Pastries Bakery Café”, in April of 1999, three years later, we ultimately made the decision to close our coffee shoppe and return the business back to it’s original starting point.
As of today we still operate an incredibly successful home based bakery business specializing in Wedding Cakes and Cookies.
We have many corporate clients that purchase our products, a few examples include providing cookie trays for customer appreciation or gift giving and also fund raisers for schools and other organizations.
I believe in a superior product and in the motto, “You get what you pay for.”
You will find that our products are slightly higher priced than other bakeries, however, it’s simply the quality you are paying for. We make it a top priority to search out and use the best ingredients which results in creating a superior product, not only in taste, but also for health.
The secret of my 30 years of success is the constant encouragement, self sacrificing love, and support from my family and my obsession and love for baking the “BEST” Wedding Cakes and Cookies.
